Data protection
For a ride, we need the name, pick-up address, destination and times, plus a phone number for queries and, if needed, whether help getting in and out is required. We do not need diagnoses. We do not pass the details on to third parties.
Rules for recurring rides
- Cancellations
- You can cancel individual appointments free of charge up to 24 hours before pick-up, online with the booking number or by phone. For later cancellations the cancellation terms apply.
- Ending a series
- The whole series can be cancelled at any time with effect from the end of the current week.
- Waiting time
- Agreed waiting time costs CHF 65.00 per hour. Include it in your request and it will be part of the estimate.
- Not at the pick-up point
- If the passenger is not there at the agreed time and cannot be reached by phone, we wait 15 minutes. After that the ride counts as not taken, in accordance with our terms.
- Return ride on call
- A phone call is enough when the appointment is over. A fixed return time is easier to plan.
Frequently asked questions from care homes, Spitex and clinics
Is patient transport a medical ambulance transport?
No. We are not an emergency service and do not provide medical care. Patient transport is for people who can travel seated in a regular, suitable vehicle. Please check directly with your health insurer whether it will cover any costs.
Can you transport wheelchair users?
Aargauer Taxi currently has no wheelchair-accessible vehicle. Anyone who can transfer from their wheelchair to a vehicle seat is welcome: we help with getting in and take the folding wheelchair along. For rides seated in a wheelchair, we recommend a specialised transport service.
Will the driver escort me to the registration desk?
Yes, by arrangement. In the request, under “What helps the passenger?”, choose escort to the registration desk. The driver will then accompany you to the reception of the practice or hospital.
Can I book a ride for someone else?
Yes. In the request, under “Details”, choose the option “For someone else” and enter the passenger's name and phone number. This is how relatives book doctor's appointments or shopping trips for their parents, for example; the confirmation and the invoice go to the person who made the booking.
Can care homes book rides for residents on account?
Yes. The home books with the resident's name and appointment. The invoice goes monthly to the home, to the person themselves or to relatives, with a trip list per person.
Do you need medical information?
No. We need the name, pick-up address, destination and times, and whether someone needs help getting in and out. We do not need diagnoses.
Is it always the same driver?
We cannot promise that; it depends on the duty roster. The appointments in the series and the pick-up times stay the same, and we confirm every ride.
What does a series for dialysis or therapy cost?
Under the tariff, each ride costs the base fare plus the price per kilometre. The calculator on this page shows the estimated monthly cost. A fixed price per route is possible on quote.
What rides is your institution planning?
Tell us the passenger, route, days and times. You will receive a written quote.
