Seengen lies at the northern end of Lake Hallwil. This is where the moated Hallwyl Castle stands on two islands in the Aabach stream, a few minutes' walk from the Seengen boat landing. Seengen has no railway station; from the castle to our taxi rank at Lenzburg station it is about ten kilometres.
