Liability notes for patient and escort rides

No emergency medical service, no medical care
Aargauer Taxi GmbH is a ride service. We are not an emergency medical service, not an ambulance transport service, and we provide no medical or nursing care. Our drivers have no medical training. In a medical emergency, we call the emergency medical service (emergency number 144).
Who the rides are suitable for
Patient and escort rides are for people who can travel seated in a standard, suitable vehicle and who do not require monitoring or treatment during the ride. People who need to be transported lying down or who require medical accompaniment should contact an ambulance transport service.
Help getting in and out
We help passengers get in and out of the vehicle within reasonable limits and by arrangement. We do not lift or carry people. We do not currently have a wheelchair-accessible vehicle (travelling seated in a wheelchair). We can take a folding wheelchair, walking frame (rollator) or walking stick along; during the ride, the passenger sits on the vehicle seat with the seat belt fastened.
Escort
On request, we accompany passengers to the reception, the registration desk or the front door of their home and wait by arrangement. The escort does not include care during the appointment.
Responsibility for suitability
Whoever books a ride, whether the passenger, a relative or an institution, confirms that the passenger is suitable for seated transport and informs us of any support needs. If in doubt, please clarify suitability in advance with the treating practice or facility.
Coverage of costs
Whether and to what extent a health insurer or other insurance covers transport costs depends on your insurance and the treatment. We give no assurance in this regard. On request, we issue a trip record for your files.
Liability
We are liable in accordance with the provisions of the Swiss Code of Obligations (OR) for damage caused through our fault. No liability is accepted for the consequences of health events during the ride that are not attributable to our fault, or for delays caused by traffic, weather or force majeure.
